"The Role of Leadership" – Equipping Leaders to Build Principle Approach Biblical Worldview

Scripture: Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Key word studies:

-   Gave (edōken) — Christ is the giver; these roles are divine gifts to the church, not human achievements.
-   Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers — Functional roles (not all titles are permanent offices today); the emphasis is on function: sent ones, truth-declarers, gospel-proclaimers, shepherds, and instructors.
-   Equip (katartismos) — Mend, prepare, perfect, restore to proper condition—like setting a broken bone or preparing a soldier for battle.
